American musician and actor Awkwafina made her debut with humorous rap tracks that tackled racial identity and sexuality with boldly comedic perspective before expanding her reach into Hollywood. Nora Lum began her musical path as a trumpeter. Born in Forest Hills Queens, she was a child of Chinese immigrants and Korean immigrants.
